Where behaviour, confidence and real-world adventure meet
I'm Kit — a dog trainer, mountain leader and outdoor pursuits professional. My work sits at the point where understanding a dog and getting out into the world come together.
My journey into dog training began when my partner and I brought home our German Shepherd, Jessie. I'd grown up with a Springer Spaniel who came everywhere with me, so I assumed I knew what I was doing. I didn't.
I was away for long stretches working in the outdoors, and my partner was struggling at home with Jessie's behaviour. The things that had worked with my Springer didn't touch the sides. Jessie's reactivity grew, her world shrank, and ours did too. Walks became a single quiet route. Every day was planned around avoiding triggers. It was draining, limiting and nothing like the life we wanted for her.
After trying several trainers, we eventually found someone who helped us understand Jessie properly — her genetics, her needs, and how to give her the structure and fulfilment she was missing. I went on to complete a mentorship with that trainer, gaining the clarity and practical skills that changed everything for Jessie and reshaped how I approach behaviour.
Now I bring that same clarity into my work with owners — helping you build a dog who can cope, think and enjoy the world.
That might be a calm coffee shop visit, a loose-lead walk through the woods, or stepping into bigger adventures like hill days, wild camping or multi-day trips. My focus isn't just controlled environments — it's the places you actually want to go.
For owners who want to take things further, I also offer bespoke training weekends in the mountains. These are small, tailored experiences designed to build confidence, skills and partnership in real terrain — arranged individually to suit you, your dog and your goals.
Because life is bigger than the same quiet loop every day. And with the right training, your dog can be part of the adventures you want to have together.
